New ALT

２学期から新しいALTのSelene（セレネ）先生が来てくれています。

 

 

Selene先生は毎週水曜日北高に来て、主に１年生のコミュニケーション英語Ⅰの授業に出てくれています。

 

各クラスまだ１度しか授業には来てもらっていませんが、陽気な性格で早くも生徒の人気者です。

 

今日は６時間目に１年３組の授業に来てくれました。

Selene先生の自己紹介のあと、生徒からいくつか質問をしてもらいました。

 

"What Japanese food do you like?"

"Do you like animals?"

"What kind of music do you like?"

などなど楽しい質問がされ、Selene先生の意外な答えに大いに盛り上がりました。

 

なかには、"Do you like soba?"と質問して、祖父母が経営しているそば屋さんを英語で紹介している生徒もいました。すごいですね。

 

 

 

 

Selene先生から北高生にメッセージです。

 

Dear students,

 

I have only been at Kita High School three days; however, I am already feeling "at home" because I was able to be welcomed and greeted by your beautiful smiles!  Some of you are more passionate about English than others, but I am sure that your knowledge of the English language will some day help you to: get a good job, visit other countries, and make new friends around the world.  I am here to help you achieve your dreams through the English language, and I am here to learn about Japanese culture and customs.  I am especially here to build a strong bond with you that will exemplify the beauty of language knowledge.  Please don't be shy.  Come talk to me and tell me about your future goals.
